This is the journey of my studio-
The dream started blossoming when I photographed a wedding in Timaru November 2008 and used the old, falling apart, dilapidated top floor of our good friend Tony’s design office building. I thought- “this would make an awesome studio”
Then lo and behold 6 months later Sam and I arrive in Timaru to begin afresh in a new town.
After some great talks with the wonderful landlords- the dream was growing!
You will see the before and after shots – I am yet to hang my display work so the walls are quite bare- but give me a few weeks and everything will be officially finished!!!! Woop woop!!
.. in the beginning there was a gorgeous old building at 235 Stafford St Timaru- it has been home to a bank, some architects and a dentist in its day. Now it is a Photography studio- a space to inspire and ignite creative flair!!…

The darkroom- this is still a work in progress and I expect it to develop gradually.
Peeking into the “sleep room” … for my wee girl who comes to work with me- and let’s face it- I do like my afternoon naps!
